Artist Statement An imaginary landscape of botanical forms comprises the subject of my current work. Through an instinctual impulse of combining shapes and texture I create my own interpretation of exotic flora. The microscopic detail lures the viewer into the sculptures for a closer look and deeper enjoyment. An intimate, personal scale is used to create each piece, which captures the forms in a specific moment of time. studio: E320 |
