Artist Statement My work could be described as abstract naturalist or realistic color field. I work with oil on canvas, pastels, acrylic washes or watercolors on paper. My paintings are figurative or organic in subject matter; decorative, rich in color and strong in composition. My goal is to transform ordinary objects into a vehicle, for color and composition to ride upon. I desire (borrowing a phrase from Georgia O'Keefe), to fill a space in a beautiful way. studio: B295 |
