First Fridays

The Stutz Artists Assocation hosts First Fridays monthly at the Stutz Business Center in downtown Indianapolis.

Visit with the artists, ask questions, discuss commissions or just enjoy the buzz of creativity that pervades this Indiana artistic enclave. The artists' studios are open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm the first Friday of every month.

There is no charge for admission and free parking is available along Senate and Capitol Avenues and 11th Street.

The Stutz Artists Association is the largest association of working artists in Indiana. It exists to encourage its member artists and to promote their work. The myriad artists who make up the Stutz Artists Association all share the common love of art but widely diverge from there. They are photographers, painters, sculptors, silversmiths and illustrators. They are a variety of ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. Some have advanced degrees in art, and others advance their art in degrees. Some teach classes and hold workshops, and others mentor one-to-one. Some produce work that's accessible to a broad audience and sell a large amount of work, while others focus on work that's purely for their own enjoyment. Many of the Stutz artists have artwork in permanent collections at museums, schools and hospitals. Some are regional and even national award winners.
