Heart
The Stutz Artists Association is teaming up with the American Heart Association to present "Heart," an exhibition featuring work that explores the human heart, during Women's Heart Health Month.
Artwork in the group show will include pieces that explore the medical heart, metaphors for love, the visual heart, the idea of brokenness, and the richness of the color red. Participating artists will donate 20 percent of sales to the American Heart Association.
The exhibition opens on Feb. 6 (national Wear Red for Women day) at the STUTZARTSPACE gallery with a reception from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., in conjunction with the Indianapolis Downtown Artists & Dealers Association's (IDADA) monthly First Friday gallery tour. The show runs through Feb. 27.
The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays, or by appointment.
STUTZARTSPACE, a nonprofit visual art center, opened in January, 2008, on the first floor of the Stutz Business Center. Its mission is to connect artists, audiences and resources. In that spirit, classes and workshops are designed to pair professional artists with students at a wide range of skill levels. Spots are available for many classes in photography, sculpture, drawing, book arts and various painting media. Click here for more information on the STUTZARTSPACE.
