The STUTZARTSPACE Gallery Exhibition, Romancing the Page: Drawings on Paper, runs May 7 - May 28, 2010. An opening reception was held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 7, in conjunction with the Indianapolis Downtown Artists & Dealers Association’s (IDADA) monthly First Friday gallery tour. The STUTZARTSPACE gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays, or by appointment. Many people think of drawings as preliminary sketches or something everyone did as kids. Romancing the Page, however, features drawings as the main event when 11 artists showcase their love of pencil, brush, pastel and ink. Approximately 25 artists open their studios to visitors from noon to 5 p.m. the first Friday of the month. Participating artists include: Carol L. Myers, Jerry Points, Karen Mausbaum, Susan Brewer, Susan Mauck, Julia Z. Wickes, Judith L. Sturges, Martha Vaught, JanettMarie, Michele Soncini and Julie Perigo. |
