Biography

Christopher Robert Whonsetler, founder of Whonsetler Photography, is known to friends as Chris and affectionately as WhonPhoto by children in Guatemala. He is a freelance commercial photographer available for projects worldwide. With a down-to-earth personality, a sharp sense of humor, and big creative ambitions, his work is shaped by curiosity, travel, and a constant drive to see more of the world.

A lifelong traveler and devoted coffee enthusiast, Christopher draws inspiration from global experiences, good food, and the arts. His passion for photography began in middle school through 4-H, encouraged by his mother, and continued to grow through high school and college. Since graduating, he has worked independently as a freelance photographer, developing a visual style rooted in perspective, personality, and storytelling.

Photography serves as a way to reveal how he sees the world—capturing not just what exists, but how it feels. While grounded in reality, his images reflect an intentional point of view shaped by experience and character.

Statement

My goals as a photographer are to connect with businesses and help visually brand who they are, what they do, and where they do it. I love working with business owners who aren’t afraid of doing things a little unorthodox.
