Biography
Karen’s paintings take inspiration from the American Tonalism movement of the late 1980’s which featured moody and shadowy landscapes. Karen seeks to create iconic scenes which evoke a contemplative peaceful and dreamy atmosphere.
Karen is a selftaught native Hoosier who works out of her studio in the historic Stutz building in downtown Indianapolis. Her work can be seen in Nashville, IN at both The Brown Counth Art Guild and the Brown County Art Gallery.
