Natalie Starks is a painter born and raised on the south side of Indianapolis. Being an Indianapolis native, she takes inspiration from the rather slow and sleepy nature of “naptown” nights.
Starks’ work consists of night scenes and darker compositions, using “light in the dark” as a metaphor for navigating the many unknowns that we all face in life, and finding optimism and beauty in even the toughest of circumstances.
