Biography

Stuart is a self-taught abstract expressionist who began painting later in life, inspired by the beauty and power of color. His work explores the random yet intentional blending and patterning found throughout nature—drawing from galactic, botanical, and biological imagery.

Through energy, movement, and form, Stuart’s paintings convey both ephemeral moments and enduring stories, reflecting the limitless potential of color and life on the planet. While wild and abstract on the surface, each piece is grounded in deliberate structure and intention. Colors—such as aqua, fuchsia, periwinkle, and tangerine—are treated as living forces, guiding the work and shaping what ultimately emerges on the canvas.
